Murray Bridge Gliding Club Inc.
Minutes of the meeting held at 38 Brandeth St., Burnside
on Thursday 5 th December 2013

Meeting opens 8.07pm

Present: Greg Newbold, Emilis Prelgauskas, Ray King, Lindsey Tilley, Peter Szell, Bob Jennison, Rob Wintulich
Apologies: Baylee Roberts

1. Minutes of the previous meeting  of 4 th July 2013
change over of officers, new constitution, agm items have since been done
accepted   Ray King/Bob Jennison

2. Minutes of the AGM
2.1 sale of spare engine   invoice and accessories found -  ask $5k

Bob to continue sale process

2.2 Club future
A plan to be developed by consensus
President to head a survey/questionnaire of individual members as to future direction
to be discussed again at next committee meeting     ROB

2.3 Future airworthiness officer
This to be a formal club position, appointed. So that the administrative processes can be kept up to date.  To be point of contact to GFA. Motorglider involves log books for airframe, engine, propellor.          all to note

3. New Constitution - finalisation and submission to OBCA  
Final Constitution signed at meeting.
Rob to create pdf, lodge electronically, copy to Bob to put on web site. ROB
Hard copy is held by Secretary
Club seal to be sent by Baylee to Secretary
Retain current Public Officer
Judy Roberts, to be retained

4. Finances - Account signatories & approval to purchase MYOB  
Greg arranging change in signatories, $360 spend on software agreed  GREG

5. Airworthiness - Form 2 volunteer roster
FFQ Form 2 begins Sun 8 Dec, derig Sat afternoon     all to note


6. Life Membership     In accord with Constitution provisions (clause 5.4.1.), President recommends Life Membership be extended to Baylee Roberts and Bob Jenneson for services provided to the club over many decades.
nominated : Rob Wintulich  meeting supported,    to be confirmed at 2014 AGM
Rob to arrange suitable display board and badge       ROB  
In accord with the original nomination by Steve Burgess in August 2013
these Life Members can seek from the club, use of club hangar space for storing their own aircraft for the cost of an annual club membership fee.

7. Safety Management System  
SAGA officer John Hudson in direct contact with Rob, to standardise club paperwork.
Rob to contact Steve also on this issue.         ROB
Existing fire extinguisher, status unknown, yet to be mounted.    LINDSEY
Fuel storage external lock up to be investigated.

8. AOB  
8.1 Emilis to, in fullness of time, chase up MBGC history through FMcD Library records
and provide web site with a summary.

8.2 GFA membership related
Instructors to provide drivers license medical to CFI and to GFA. Glider pilot can do self declare form when first joining GFA.

8.3 Air Cadets  currently suspended if flying within the scheme.

8.4  There is a barrier to sole operations, getting FFQ in and out of the hangar; and thus does not suit some people looking to join club.   There are winch components in hangars which can be made to get glider onto trolley and wind trolley into the hangar.  Mako mule option.  Ground in front of hangar might be smoothed with sand. Area might be watered with sprinkler throw from hangar face.  Works would be subject to airfield owner concurrence.
