MINUTES for the General Meeting
for the Murray Bridge Gliding Club Inc.    
held at 38 Brandreth St., Tusmore
on Thursday 13th February 2020

President opens meeting at 7.30pm

1.0  Minutes of October 2019 meeting

Officer’s reports

2.1 President
- Passengers are being flown at increased rate, some new flying members have joined.
- Insurance cover continues with QBE, other options to be canvassed in November 2020 -
one a/c full cover, one a/c ground cover & $10k spares.
Coverage premium is stable, with flexible cover at reasonable cost.

2.2 Treasurer           
With all commitments paid up to date, cash account has credit in hand, due to steady flying activity including Pembroke Scouts,  Current term deposit continuing, awaiting 2400 engine project advancing.

need to account for $5k Rec & sport grant – possibly on a prop balancer.

2.3 CFI
Hangar key - Steve to check for Richard     STEVE
fior information -  Steve intends to be  available for March & April at Pallamana
   weekends plus possibly post-3.30pm on Wednesdays

Steve & Greg to arrange between them - instructor rating process.

Kalell has secured a place on the Pt. Cook course
               for infoirmation – ASC is seeking to take on the former Scout gliding activities at Gawler, with a focus on the Dimona

 for information  - 3 x power flight scholarships are being offered by Sport Flying Club; which may be supported by several flying schools.

2.4 Airworthiness                        Training in the 25hrly engine oil change and inspection process is being encouraged   A GFA pro-forma log book for that record keeping is available -  $56.-                
2400 engine block – no infiormation received.  BAYLEE TO PURSUE
If found to be useable, EO to be sought via Mike Burns

GUD original engine currently being dismantled, to have other 2litre fitted.

3.0  AOB
Noted that Richard has used a GoPro attached between pilots to canopy to capture in-flight vision. It was noted that such material could be uploaded to club web site as this evolves.  

Calthrop plants are being found on airfield, taxiway and our hangar apron. Where members find these, remove and put in bin.      NOTE ALL
