There commenced a general discussion on preparing a new treasurer . Bob Jenneson is to retire at the next AGM in 2013.
Brian Holecek is working on a new constitution for the MBGC and is working to a dead line at the end of October. There will be a special meeting called to help facilitate any changes.
Life membership for the MBGC was raised, who might qualify etc. Out comes to be drafted into the new constitution and so Steve Burgess's nomination for two life members will be deferred to after the constitution is finalised.
Emilis Prelgauskas discussed the new SMS that the club needs for further audits. Greg Newbold is to track these for the next 3 months and report to the committee.
The hanger  issues that were raised within the club recently have been deferred to when the constitution matters are completed.
The Jamestown air show will be with us on Oct 14TH  and there are three members interested to  attend taking the club G109 .
Our club CFI Lindsay Tilley is keen to promote the MBGC  and is looking for ideas. It has been noted the a membership above 30 is considered desirable and is deemed to be the cut for prosperity. Clubs with less than this number seem to be in decline.( maybe the MBGC is an exception). Rob Wintulich wishes to create a sub committee just to work on promotions.
Rob Wintulich moved that the general committee meetings be held bi monthly and that he will set the dates accordingly  Seconded  Baylee Roberts... Next meeting to on the 8th of November 2012 at the residence of Greg Newbold , at Brandreth street Tusmore.
Rob Wintulich attended the GFA meeting  held in August at Gawler. He found it quite frustrating.
A question has been raised re the value of the club's G109 for insurance purposes. It is believed that Steve Burgess is to investigate values from local and over seas markets.
Bob Jenneson has secured a 90 day extension for the spending of the grant money. Lindsay Tilley suggested we might spend a portion of the remaining dollars on fitment of instruments. Emilis Prelgauskas has recommended Kevin Zeitz of the AUGC for the task.
There is a new round of grants are on offer. Moved Brian Holicek that the club pursue this round of  grants. Seconded by Ray king. Carried.
Moved Baylee Roberts that Franco Fonovic Lindsay Tilley Rob Wintulich and Greg Newbold formalize a proposal to suit the grants. seconded by Emilis Prelgauskas. carried.
Steve Blacketer has asked the committee for permission to take the club glider to William Creek. The committee agreed to this on the proviso that our CFI Lindsay Tilley  is satisfied that Steve has the necessary qualifications and recent currency to take on this outback trip. Lindsay responded in the affirmative, so Brian Holecek moved that Steve be permitted to take the aircraft away. Seconded Lindsay Tilley.
Bob Jenneson asked Franco Fonovic if he would elaborate on the subject of  problems that  the club may be facing in the future. These problems supposedly surrounding the legislation of the not for profit organisation etc.  Franko produced a PowerPoint presentation on the subject  to put forward his view. It was decided that we do some preliminary investigation to see if it really applied to us.
This presentation brought the meeting to a close at about 11.15 pm.
A hearty vote of thanks was echoed to our hosts for their hospitality.
As said : next meeting is on the 8th of November 2012. at 7.30 pm.
