MINUTES of MURRAY BRIDGE GLIDING CLUB COMMITTEE – 10 January 2013
Held at Greg Newbold's House.
Started at 7:40pm.

Present: Lindsay Tilley, Bob Jenneson, Ray King, Greg Newbold, Steve Blacketer, Rob Wintulich.
Minutes of Last Meeting: Corrections from last minutes: 1/ BVGC should be AUGC.
2/ The last grant application was not unsuccessful – it was not applied for.
With corrections – moved to be accepted Ray King, seconded Lindsay Tilley.
Treasurer's Report: Current bank balance is $6 300, minus $707 for final expenditure of grant money – another set of David Clark headsets bought as spares.
No accounts sent out for November – there was no flying.
There has been considerable recent expenditure, esp. the Form 2 & new seat belts.
Correspondence: 1/ From GFA (Dylan Jones) re Hangar Keepers Liability insurance. If enough clubs take it up – cost will be $675+GST+Stamp Duty. Current Allianz policy to 26/7/13 is $1089. Rob W to contact Dylan for further information and to indicate the club is interested. Discussion about the need for this insurance is ongoing – a vote of the full club membership?
2/ A letter from QBE seeking written confirmation that the canopy has been blown so they can pay Ian Linke – done.
Business: FFQ Canopy Repair & Transport of fuselage to Rudi. Organised – Rob W has volunteered to tow the trailer to Cockatoo Valley.
New Club Constitution. A draft of the new constitution was presented to the committee on behalf of Brian H, who wrote it. Distributed to committee members for comment first – to be discussed at next committee meeting.
Other Business: Replacement of Bob J as treasurer – nothing further done. Greg N to talk to Bob J about possibly taking over. Rob W also to check out Bob J's accounting system.
SMS – Greg is monitoring the uptake by other clubs.
Now that FFQ is having the canopy repaired, the club needs to look at the possibility of advertising for passenger flights.
