MINUTES
for the meeting for the    Murray Bridge Gliding Club Inc.
held at      38 Brandreth St., Tusmore
on Thursday 12 th April 2018
beginning 7.30pm

President opens meeting   7.30pm

1.0  Minutes of February meeting
moved  Steve   seconded Lindsay   accepted

2.0  Matters arising

2.1  MBGC phone and electronic payment
President has delivered to Emilis for use as contact point:
- Telstra portable router with aerial  - new Samsung phone with club members entered
- Square electronic payment box   operating on Rob’s payment plans
for use as club contact/payment point.
The Square unit was replaced as original unit doesn’t appear to hold full charge.

Along with the club email address this opens the way for the club contact to be re-allocated over time without change in phone and email detail.

2.2  President contact with past members and past flying payment
- Direct electronic payment not in past available to club; hence payment outstanding - direct debit given to pay in arrears.

- Harold Walton will be an upcoming speaker at Sport Aircraft Club.

2.3  FFN re-finish
BJ & Baylee moved fuselage to Gawler mid-March.
Further grind back at Gawler, fin to be re-glass with 110 cloth, Grob Tech Bulletin re-finish system has been bought - GFA EO exemption sought rather than use GFA Engineering Order path.
We hope end of June finish. u/c legs have been checked, engine underway, RTOs know survey underway.
needed sone – parts including - fuel line, fuel tap, CHT gauge,
Peter radio & loom ready; use FFQ altimeter            PETER to remove all FFQ instruments

2.4  FFQ storage
Steve & Greg to report on intended clamps & slings.              Work to be done in May.
1 tonne slings + shackles fore & aft for fuselage
wing clamps    remove FFQ legs and test
FFQ canopy to be mounted in-place on fuselage with cover cloth to avoid damage and distortion

Presidents Report
Happy to see positive movement in club because of member involvement/help.
Ray King contacted - even with illness he still active in hobbies.
Jamboree-air preparations progressing.   Members to get their Police checks underway

MBGC aircraft 'decoration' is being evolved.  Bumper stickers, pilot flying gear patches.

Treasurer Report
$7k in bank  several k in immediate outgoings,  major outgoing upcoming for FFN
to use smaller term deposit

has factory included invoice to survey kit – Greg needs copy  Steve to check

caution note to members: a spurious email demand was received by Treasurer. Noted as fraud. So members need both email + text contact involving monies.

Scout prep flying - how to 'pay'   Club to apportion 50% of flight cost   GREG

CFI Report
Tim IO level 1 signed off + GPC underway

AFR upcoming   pilots to put date on GFA member on web              ALL

Spin check flight potential at Stonefield - an MBGC camp there?


Airworthiness Report
9 hrs to GUD engine check     upcoming GUD engine check

positive evolution in VKR certification
opens way to future 2400 G109s.
